A wise recipe developer (or video script writer) once asked, “What’s better than taking shots of Fireball?” There are many answers to that question. Theirs was pretty convincing, though: “Eating Fireball cupcakes!”

Fireball Cinnamon Whisky-dosed cupcakes are here, and all you have to do to make the dream come true is add Fireball to your cake batter. Otherwise, it’s just making cupcakes.

Per the recipe on Delish.com, you’ll need:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. Fireball whisky, divided
  • 1 c. (two sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 c. powdered sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • Yellow and red food coloring
  • Hot tamales, for decoration

Mix the cake batter and cinnamon, stir in the oil, eggs, and Fireball, and bake. One might call it a piece of cake. Or, in this case, 20.

The recipe also includes directions for Fireball frosting, which you can make with butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, a dash of food coloring, and your favorite cinnamon whiskey.
