As oppressive temperatures grip many cities around the world, it can be hard to find the motivation to go to work. Especially when a short commute leaves you drenched and exhausted.

In the midst of a record-breaking heatwave, a British clothing brand has created a Facebook event encouraging workers to skip work and, instead, head to the beer garden in London.

The event, hosted by The Sesh (British slang for drinking session), is aptly named: “Leave work and go [to] the beer garden, they can’t sack all of us.” More than 30,000 Facebook users have currently confirmed their attendance for the event, with a further 104,000 marking themselves as interested.  The beer garden “sesh” is scheduled for Aug. 19, at 12 p.m.

Whether the good weather will continue for long enough is anyone’s guess.
