Everyone’s favorite Englishman has just purchased property in Italy, and it’s equipped with its own vineyard. The villa is located in the central Italian region of Umbria. As Drinks Business reports, Sheeran said he “didn’t want to buy in Tuscany because there are too many English people there.”
As many of his fans and Instagram followers know, Sheeran’s love for alcohol isn’t a secret. In fact, the vineyard on the property was a huge selling point, literally, for the British crooner. In discussing his newly acquired property, he said, “There is a vineyard, and the moment I saw it, I knew I had to buy that place.”
Umbria, one of Italy’s best-kept secrets in terms of regions, has a long history of winemaking, dating back to Etruscan times.
It wont be secret for much longer, if Sheeran Wines is going to be a thing.
