There are many great bromances, but none quite as great as the one between LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. To culminate Wade signing a one-year, $2.3 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday, the former Miami Heat teammates poured some red and clinked glasses to celebrate their reunion. James and Wade won back-to-back NBA championships with the Heat, so Wade’s debut on the Cavalier’s team is certainly cause for celebration.

James loves wine, but isn’t really a beer guy. That became clear last season in game one of the NBA semi-finals when the Cleveland Cavaliers played the Toronto Raptors. James was fouled running toward the basket, and instead of going to the free throw line, James ran to the sideline where a vendor handed him a beer. James raised the beer to his mouth, pretended to take a sip, frowned in disappointment, and put it down. According to FOX Sports Ohio, after the game, James told the media: “I’m not much of a beer guy. If she had some red wine, I probably would have definitely taken a sip.” Good thing he didn’t drink that beer, because the Cavaliers ended up beating the Raptors 116-105.

Fortunately for LeBron, his new teammate has his own wine. Wade founded Wade Cellars, his own personal wine label, a couple years ago and joined the celebrity wine fad. Wade Cellars offers mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and some red blends, so hopefully LeBron likes full-bodied, tannic reds. James also likes to gift wine as well. In 2015 he sent $2,500 worth of wine to fellow player Draymond Green. What better way to celebrate a basketball bromance reunited than sharing a bottle of red?
