Whether you like your wings hot and spicy, sweet and sticky, or simply seasoned with a dry rub, one thing’s for sure: beer makes the ideal pairing. With around 1,200 locations nationwide, Buffalo Wild Wings sells more draft beer than anyplace else in the country, making it a paradise for beer and wing lovers.
As reported by Thrillist, things might be about to get a whole lot better for beer and wing aficionados with the wing-slinging chain is trialing a new restaurant concept. Called B-Dubs Express, the restaurants will contain sauce and self-serve beer “walls,” which the chain hopes will help speed up service.
The 20-tap beer wall will continue to focus on local brews, with a couple of other national brands also offered. For those that don’t like beer, the wall also serves margaritas, as well as a house cocktail named Buffalo Zoo. The sauce wall too, allows wing lovers the freedom to self-serve each of B-Dubs’ 21 famous sauces and seasonings.
To use the self-serve beer wall, customers over 21 are given a wristband proving their age, and can buy pre-paid cards which allow them to pour a set number of ounces. If they need something extra to put out that Blazin’ fire, diners can pay for more ounces to be loaded onto their card.
For now, sadly, there are only three open B-Dubs Express locations — each of which are located in the Minneapolis area. And of those three, only one currently contains the beer and sauce walls. With National Wing Day coming up this Sunday (July 29), however, what better excuse could there be for a beer and wings B-Dubs road trip?
