It’s been three years since Walter White stopped making meth on TV, yet people still can’t seem to get enough of everything “Breaking Bad.” A London pop-up bar is bringing its “Breaking Bad” themed cocktail bar to New York this summer, and nearly 2,000 people have signed up for a visit.
The bar, called ABQ, has been slinging drinks out of an RV in the UK for two years now. Lollipop, the company behind the bar, reportedly hasn’t nailed down a spot in the City yet, but has looked at some spots in Brooklyn.
Lollipop spares no expense when it comes to authenticity. Staff wear yellow jumpsuits, and “HEISENBERG” is written on the wall. The drinks are made with “molecular mixology techniques.” Only 30 people are allowed in at a time, and ABQ requires that you sign up for a spot.
“After cooking with 100,000 ‘meth-heads’ in London since 2015, ABQ sets up its world famous RV lab in NY for a few months this summer,” the website states.
Don’t get your hopes up about making it in before it leaves the states, though. The website announcing its arrival has a counter of how many people have already signed up, and ABQ makes no promises.
“Limited availability,” the website reads. “After all, we are now in the DEA-land!”
