Backstreet’s back, alright. And they might be back with their own tequila.
First of all, the 1990s-era boy band is apparently still performing. Secondly, Tasting Table reported, BSB hinted at a recent performance at Moon Palace in Cancun that they’re planning to release their own tequila brand sometime in the future—they just need to find a producer first.
“I like a good reposado or añejo,” Kevin Richardson told Tasting Table. Later, Nick Carter added, “And that leads us into talking about our tequila venture that we’ll be coming out with. [We] just need to find a partner here in Mexico.”
This is big almost-news for the liquor business and for BSB fans at large. If the Backstreet Boys launch their own line of tequila, the beloved boy band would join pop culture icons like Justin Timberlake, Diddy, and George Clooney, who also launched their own tequila brands.
