America’s Last Blockbuster Releases Its Own Beer

There is one Blockbuster video store left in America, and that is in Bend, Ore. A town known for its beer culture—Bend is home to 24 breweries as of 2017, in a population of about 100,000—it’s only appropriate that one of those breweries, 10 Barrel Brewing, would pay homage to the video chain with its own beer.

The beer, called “The Last Blockbuster,” is a black ale that “pairs perfectly with buttery theater popcorn and your favorite movie-sized chocolate with a light body, smooth finish and hints of nostalgia,” Chris Cox, 10 Barrel Brewing co-founder, told Business Insider.

The beer will debut at a block party–get it?—in Bend on Sept. 21. It will be available at all six 10 Barrel locations, in East Bend, West Bend, and Portland, Ore.; Boise, Idaho; Denver, Col.; and San Diego, Cal.
