Each day of December leading up to Christmas guarantees a piece of chocolate from the Advent calendar, but chocolate doesn’t always cut it. Fortunately, Aldi released an Advent calendar this season featuring 200-milliliter bottles of wine for each calendar day. Unfortunately, the Aldi Advent calendar is only available in the U.K. for now. However, America was paying attention, and has caught up with the idea. Drinks by the Dram has come out with a variety of boozy Advent calendars in anticipation for the holiday season. No matter your poison, everyone should be able to participate in the tradition. And these booze-filled Advent calendars are actually available in the U.S.

There are several different calendars featuring a variety of alcohol, including whiskey, Scotch, bourbon, gin, and even rum in three-centiliter drams. The whisky calendar offers a variety of whiskies from around the world such as single malt Scotch, Irish whiskey, and American whiskey. If variety isn’t your thing and you know what you like, you can opt for the scotch specific calendar. The scotch Advent calendar features single malts, blended malts, and blends offering a range from smoky to peaty. The same goes for bourbon fanatics, who can enjoy some of America’s rare small-batch bourbons as well as some from the larger distilleries.

If the short days and cold nights of winter are making you miss the beach, Drinks by the Dram also offers a rum calendar featuring white, dark, spiced, navy strength, and agricole varieties in French, Spanish, and British styles. There’s a lot of dark liquor being offered, but not to fear, there’s a gin Advent calendar for the clear liquor folks cleverly named the Ginvent calendar.

What better way to promote the spirit of giving than showing your loved ones you appreciate their alcohol tastes? It’s also a good way to explore different spirits, and if someone mentions something they like, you may have time to run out and get them a bottle to put under the tree.
