How big is Big Beer, exactly? It’s a $350 billion business in America, according to figures compiled by the Beer Institute and National Beer Wholesalers Association.
To get a sense of what America is drinking, we analyzed domestic shipping volume data from Beer Marketer’s Insights via 247WallSt.com. Bud Light, Coors Light, and Budweiser are the top-selling beers in the country, representing more than a quarter of the 208 million barrels of beer Americans bought in 2017.
Ireland’s Guinness just missed the cutoff, with 1.1 million barrels.
