About The Trip

VinePair is partnering with Tailored Tours Barcelona to present a limited-time offer. This four-night, five-day journey features the best food, wine, and culture in Barcelona, Spain. Guests will access the city’s top chefs and their restaurants, award-winning breweries, and centuries-old vineyards on this exceptional itinerary designed exclusively for VinePair readers.

The focus of the trip is twofold. Travelers will explore Barcelona’s unrivaled cuisine and Mediterranean culture, and visit two of Spain’s most celebrated winemaking regions: El Priorat, which has DOQ status, the highest ranking available in Spain (shared only with La Rioja); and El Penedes, the seaside home of rolling hills and sparkling Cava. A professional photographer will accompany the group, capturing unforgettable moments and distributing digital images at the end of each day.

Day 1 - Wednesday, October 3

Morning
Welcome by VinePair and Tailored Tours Barcelona.

Afternoon
Join a TTB local expert for our Locals Know Best Tour, an exploration on foot of the dynamic art, architecture & food scene in the historic Gothic Quarter.

Evening
Dinner in Gràcia District in an intimate and hip family-run bodega. Creative fare & wonderful ambience with huge wine selection from across Spain poured from old barrels. Tailored Tours will be at dinner to escort and describe all plates, spirits & local recipes. Guests will meet the chef to learn how traditional tapas from his native Valencia have been transformed into innovative cuisine.

Penedès

Day 2 - Thursday, October 4

Daytrip
Just 70 minutes from Barcelona city center by train. Visits to 2 Cava producers: the first is an award-winning, small-scale, organic family-run producer practicing traditional handmade aging.

The second is located in St Sadurni, the capital of the Penedès region, and specializes in Reserva & Gran Reserva Cavas. Visits include tastings & lunch. Roundtrip transportation provided. Seafood and Paella dinner in front of the city (meat & vegetarian options available).

El Priorat

Day 3 - Friday, October 5

Daytrip
Journey with VinePair to Priorat where we'll visit Clos Pisarra, the celebrated winery owned by American Master Sommelier Emmanuel Kemiji. Emmanuel will give us a tour of the vineyards and winery, lead us in an exclusive tasting and then select some of his favorite bottles for us to drink with him while we have a three course lunch at Mas Trucafort near the winery.

Day 4 - Saturday, October 6

Morning
Free morning - beach - paddle board – brunch. Early October is still perfect beach weather in Barcelona.

Afternoon
You'll head out on the Alternative Barcelona Tour, an exploration of the urban, design & street food of the city led by our in-house expert and artist active in the Barcelona street art scene. Following the tour we will visit one of our favorite local craft breweries for a private tasting session.

Evening
We're taking you on the Ultimate Tapas Tour. The best of Spain’s food & drink, featuring authentic bodegas, family-owned restaurants and award-winning chefs. Locally sourced charcuterie and cheeses, digestifs & Cava. You'll meet the chefs and have access to descend into 19th century olive oil cellars.
