Sliders, they’re all the rage. And why shouldn’t they be, they’re easy to eat with one hand, while still holding your glass of wine with the other, plus you can eat a few of them and not feel guilty. But how do you ensure all of your sliders are the same size, perfect for those tiny buns? In this video, we show you an ingenious hack that uses the punt of a wine bottle as your slider mold. Now making sliders couldn’t be simpler.

VinePair Approved Sliders

Yield: Approximately 8 Sliders

Ingredients:
1lb Ground Beef
8 Slider Buns
8 Slices of Manchego Cheese
Toppings of your choice (we used Ketchup and Mustard)

Cooking Directions:
Preheat grill on high.

Form sliders with the bottom of your wine bottle to ensure a perfect and even slider size.

Close the lid of your grill and allow them to cook for 3-5 minutes. Once you see the blood of the meat rising to the top, flip the sliders to allow them to cook on the other side.

Make sure to refrain from pressing your sliders on the grill as it pushes out all of the desirable juices that make these sliders delicious. Instead, resist the urge by picking up a glass of wine. Allow them to cook for about 3-4 more minutes for a perfect medium rare slider.

To add a Spanish flair, we used slices of Manchego cheese, however you can substitute whatever cheese to suit your preferences. Once the cheese is placed on the sliders, close the grill lid and allow the cheese to melt for about one minute.

Remove the sliders from the grill, pour some glasses of wine, and enjoy.
