On Super Bowl Sunday, Anheuser-Busch InBev aired a pair of Bud Light ads claiming the brand does not use corn syrup in its beer. It also posited that competitor brands Miller Lite and Coors Light do. The campaign has consumers confused, competitors pissed, and corn farmers sorely disappointed (seriously, they’re drain-pouring Bud Lights).
It’s that time of year when craft breweries unveil their 2019 beer release calendars, alerting beer fans to which brands will be brewed in the coming year. Breweries such as Dogfish Head, Founders, and others recently announced these annual schedules. I’m all for seasonal cheer around beer, but these calendars are outdated.
