The Federal Reserve’s FRED Site has all sorts of info related to the price of wine, here in the US, and abroad. We thought it would be interesting to look at the price of wine in the 5 countries that have come to be known as the PIIGS – Portugal, Italy, Iceland, Greece & Spain. The chart looks at HICP, which is the European Union’s version of the Consumer Price Index, the Fed’s favored measure of inflation.
