A truck driver spilled 60,000 pounds of beer on a highway in Florida this morning.

According to ABC’s wearetv.com, siting a Floriday Highway Patrol press release not yet posted on the organization’s website at press time, the driver, 44-year-old Michael Nolan Powell of Simpsonville, S.C., dumped the 60,000 pounds of Busch beer (equivalent to about 960,000 ounces, or 80,000 12-ounce cans) onto I-10 in Okaloosa County, Fla. when he failed to maintain his lane. The truck overturned on its passenger side.

“Thankfully only minor injuries which were treated on scene but the beer didn’t fare so well,” the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook.

Losing so much beer is a travesty, to be sure; but, at least it was Busch.
