Lunchtime just got a whole lot more exciting– that is, if you dabble in the occasional guilty pleasure of fast food. According to Eater, a midtown-based Burger King, located in the Garment District of Manhattan, has recently applied for its liquor license, with intentions of adding beer to its beverage menu. However, this won’t be the first boozy Burger King for Manhattan; last year, FiDi’s 106 Liberty Street location began offering beer as a soda alternative; at seven bucks a pop, an ice cold Heineken, Blue Moon, Miller Lite, or Brooklyn Lager is only an order away. As Eater reports, Burger King’s request has not yet been reviewed, due to an abundance of other liquor license applications. Heineken with your Whopper? Sounds like a lunch fit for a king.
