About Michael Lavelle Wines
Michael Lavelle Wines is a Black-owned private wine label launched in June 2020. It was created to fill the void of fresh, culturally relevant wine craftsmanship offered and marketed towards millennials and minority audiences. The Michael Lavelle founders took creative license to develop a disruptive brand fused with art, education, and most importantly, unmatched wine experiences.
With commitments to education and philanthropy, the growing visibility of Michael Lavelle allows the brand to directly partner with non for profits organizations like “The Roots Fund”. Through its current partnership, Michael Lavelle Wines donates proceeds from each online order to fully fund an HBCU graduate scholarship to live abroad in France and earn their MBA in Wine Business & Management.
Additionally, its focus on creating economic opportunities not only applies to potential employment at Michael Lavelle but a greater impact on encouraging the next generation of Black wine professionals.
Products Offered
Michael Lavelle Wines’ first varietal is the Iris Rosé, a delicious melody of Cabernet and Pinot Grigio grapes grown in coastal California.
This premium wine is available for purchase at www.sipmichaellavelle.com for $25. It’s also available at select retailers in Chicago, IL, Washington, DC and Richmond, VA.
About This Database
At VinePair, we are committed to recognizing and supporting Black-owned drinks businesses (wineries, breweries, and distilleries), and to using our platform to benefit the wider drinks community. Our searchable database of Black-owned drinks businesses is part of that effort. Please note that businesses are not included until an owner has consented to be listed and has confirmed the listing details.
