Lovers of All Things Fried Rejoice-- There's a Fried Pickle Restaurant Coming to Town

Lovers of fried pickles rejoice! The Pickle Guys are opening a new counter service style joint on the Lower East Side, serving up all of your favorite fried vegetables. As Eater reports, the new location (375 Grand Street) will be attached their updated retail location. William Soo, current manager, has expressed the potential for some of our other favorite fried options, such as okra, mushrooms, and tomatoes, with burgers and sliders also potentially finding a home on their menu. But mostly pickles. Soo tells Eater that pickles “will be our main thing, what we’ll be best at.” Stick to what you know, right? Given the counter style set up, it’s likely that most orders will be take away, though if we’re lucky, maybe a few bar stools will find their way inside the joint for late-night drunken snack sessions. The spot is set to open in early spring and while name and menu are still TBD, Kosher eaters have no need to fret– the spot will still maintain its Kosher status.
