Everyone knows a 60th anniversary is celebrated with diamonds. Well, one Chicago bar is taking its 60th anniversary literally: with a diamond cocktail combo to the tune of $6,000. How does Bourbon over ice with a side of “ice” sound? As Time Out reports, The Lodge, a Chicago bar, is serving just that.
The “On the Rock” cocktail is simple: Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon served over a diamond shaped ice cube, presented with a certificate allowing the cocktail sipper to pick up a diamond from the Chicago Diamond Center. Time Out reports that proceeds from the cocktails’ sales will go to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, a group that aids developmentally disabled individuals. Hey, at least your hard earned cash is going to a good cause, right?
