The J.F.K. Airport in New York isn’t known for a plethora of options or a wealth of good eats. It’s not, however, entirely barren, and a good pre-flight drink can be found in each terminal. Kick back, step away from those New York minutes, and enjoy a cold one.

Here are the best places to have a drink in each terminal of the J.F.K. airport.

Terminal One

Martini Bar: The best place for cocktails in all of J.F.K. airport. If you’re wondering what to get, it’s right there in the name.

Idlewild Wine Bar: American wines by the glass and bottle; perfect for a quick glass of wine before your flight.

Terminal Two

BKLYN Beer Garden: If beer is what you need, this is the place to be. There are over 20 beers on tap, as well as a full liquor bar and traditional beer-garden food.

Terminal Four

Blue Smoke on the Road: Full beer, wine, and cocktail menu to go along with ribs, sausage, and sandwiches from famed restaurateur Danny Meyer.

Tigin’s Irish Pub & Restaurant: A decent number of craft and European beers on tap at this Irish pub-style bar, as well as a full liquor bar. Just the place for one last pickleback before leaving New York, perhaps?

Le Grand Comptoir: This freestanding wine bar can be a savior for all you wine lovers out there.

Terminal Five

Piquillo: Spanish-style tapas, sandwiches, and paella served up next to a glass (or bottle) of wine.

La Vie: If you have time to sit down for some French-inspired food and a glass or two of wine, this is the place to be.

Terminal Seven

Thirsty Beer & Wine Bar: The gathering spot for all who are thirsty in Terminal Seven

Trafalgar Pub: A British pub complete with British beer and a full liquor bar.

Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill: It has American food, but your best bet is to stick to a liquid diet here of beer and cocktails.

Terminal Eight

Cascata: Wine bar that also offers small plates.

Vino Volo Wine Room: The most wine-dedicated place you’ll find in Terminal Eight. There are wine flights from wines around the world available.

Drink Martini Bar: Yes, another martini bar. But it wouldn’t be New York without plenty of martinis.
