The Story Behind The Strawberry Nectarine Lemonade
This week I was hunting for fresh fruit to serve in drinks at a friend’s outdoor party and came across some deliciously ripe nectarines. These beauties gave me the inspiration to combine them with strawberries and mix the two fruits together with some lemonade and cranberry juice to cut the sweetness with a bit of acidity. When it came to choosing the spirit, I didn’t want something like rum or whiskey that would overpower the fruity concoction, so I settled on a nice, unflavored vodka. The results are refreshingly delicious.
